How to create income without a job

August 26th, 2006 | by lissie |

So the basic problem how to fund our lifestyle without jobs ? At this stage I think a lot of people go too hard and look for another job. Logically however I think its easier than many people believe. Obviously there are 2 sides of the equation - income and how to get it and how much to cover our expenses?

Must admit the “how” has had be stumped for quite a few years. The only other way of making an income was having a business. But business is about selling either a good or a service - and I am no good at selling and not at all interested in it - this seemed to be a bit of a show stopper really.

I looked at franchising too - but most of these so-called businesses are really just “buy a job” - they don’t create any passive income or an asset you can sell - you are just selling your personal labour - pretty much I am doing now at a much better hourly rate!

Currently I have two real options

  • aggressively trading shares with the aim of earning about 20% on capital and
  • becoming a wemaster and making money from sites that I want to develop

Both I think are options and diversified at that - but unfortunately I have quite a steep learning curve on both - so its getting more and more attractive to quite the IT game at the end of Sept when the current contract expires.
