Last week of work!
February 25th, 2007 | by lissie |Well we are out of the house, staying with friend’s and its almost like being on holiday! The weather is glorious and we are staying at the beach which certainly helps too! Everything got packed (well 99% anyway) - the tenants are moved in and happy. My partner finished work last Friday.
Although it was accidental its worked out really well moving out of the house a couple of weeks before leaving the country. All the pressure is off, even though I am still working, its much much better than waving goodbye to the removal van and then getting on the plane. Gives us a chance to catch up with people before we go in a fairly relaxed environment.
The pressure was really over the top the week before we moved out - I guess I just have more stuff than ever before - and we had got rid of so much over the last few months. And we weren’t even selling anything significant - we have kept the house and the vehicles. Why ? Basically the house is making us a very nice income rented and we believe that the area it is in is still appreciating. The vehicles? NZ has a glut of cheap cars at the moment so it seemed silly to sell a very reasonable car which is only 7 years old. The scooter I am just emotionally attached too!
