A long time ago I left for my first overseas adventure - I had got myself a holiday job in Sydney at the end of my 2nd year at uni. One of the first tourist things I did was go up Sydney Tower - some of you may remember the Crocodile Dundee movie when Hogan is in New York and climbs a pole to get the lie of the land - well this is a similar instinct of mine I think - take the hop-on-hop-off bus tour and go to the top of the highest thing around! Well the tower is still there - though we didnt go to the top of it or go on the tour this time! We got a deal at a hotel in Glebe which turned out to be near the light rail line and Darling Harbour - so we spent a couple of days exploring Darling Harbour - I would highly recommend the Power House Museum - $10 for 2-3 hrs entertainment and Paul also enjoyed the maritime museum which involved crawling around a submarine.

One of the must do’s on our list was to see the Priscilla Musical - excellent show and have now got the sound track for those long country drives. Must admit I am backdating this entry as we have now got far enough (200km) from the coast to discover the outback radio is woeful - unless you are into gospel or country and western. We have bought a MP3 capable car stereo so that we can plug the laptop straight in - that’s when we get the truck back of course ….
