A new career direction?

October 4th, 2007 | by lissie |

Well I have been working hard on my new internet empire - big announcement coming on that one next week - but in the meanwhile I need to get a part-time job to at least pay the rent. I saw a part-time job for a travel junior in a travel agency - and I thought why not? I’ve thought about being a travel agent before but the bad money has always put me off - and the selling side of things too. So I threw together a CV - quite quick because none of my specific work experience was relevant - wrote a cheeky email basically challenging them to interview me despite my odd background - and a few hours later I got a call to come to an interview next Monday. It could even be useful for my web empire to be an “insider” in the industry!

So, how’d the interview go? I hope it went wall. I’ve always thought it would be fun to work in the travel industry. Let us know how you did! :-D

They never called back - I think I scared them! Too old and knowledgable for the 20 something year old who interviewed me!

Oh no! Those young one can certainly be intimidated by maturity, what a shame.
