Weather in Perth
October 12th, 2007 | by lissie |Winter is finally finishing according to the locals - the beach is Scarborough Beach about 1km from our flat, taken on a “winter’s day” - about 21C. Today is forecast for 33C so I guess that’s spring! Anyway its not often that we are the ones with the killer suntans! The other pic is from our balcony. We are struck by the amount of money put into infrastructure here. According to someone at dance class the beach highway was a sandy track in the 60’s - now its 4 lane divided highway. The freeway is less than 10 years old and they seem to have a policy of building freeways with a commuter train line running down the middle. It wouldn’t work in Wellington - you do need some space, but Auckland has got no excuse at all! Oh and when they are not building road and rail links every kilometre or so there is an open space, sports ground, park, BBQ etc.
